Mickey Mouse was arrested for drunk driving in Sacramento twice in one night on January 24th. Arrest records detail that the five-foot nine 190 pound slobbering rodent was held for hours before being released. A spokesman for the Sheriff’s department explained the name is only used for training purposes and should not have made it into the official arrest records. Link (with video)

Police in New Zealand have banned anyone turning up in a Borat-style men’s thong bikini to a rugby tournament. The annual event known as the Wellington round of the Sevens attracts thousands. Last year several dozen men appeared in the now forbidden swimware. Link

China Arnold is on trial in Dayton, Ohio, for killing her baby in a microwave oven. Her attorney claims the Arnold had nothing to do with it. She is quoted as saying “If I hadn’t gotten so drunk I guess my baby wouldn’t have died.” Link

Racists in the American South have begun using the term “Canadian” as a slur against African Americans. Stronger words, including the “N” word are too harsh to be used without repercussions. In addition, the South has a very low population of Canadians who would protest the term. Link
