Across the country hundreds of arson convictions may be based on bad science. A growing body of evidence indicates that many assumptions used by arson investigators are incorrect.

Two Lost characters played by actors arrested for drunk driving were shot at the end of the episode Wednesday. Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) and Libby (Cynthia Watros) were arrested on separate drunk driving charges a few months ago and the onscreen shooting appears to be a case of synchronised karma.

ABC will televise the final rounds of this year’s National Spelling Bee in prime time. For the past 12 years the Scripps National Spelling Bee has been shown on ESPN. Spelling bees have gained popularity in recent years and have been featured in a Broadway show and the current film Akeelah and the Bee.

An investigation by WTVF in Tennessee found McDonald’s employs child molestors and high-risk sex offenders. McDonald’s stated it has a policy not to hire sex offenders at its 8,000 company-owned stores. The 18,000 affiliate-owned stores make hiring policy for themselves.
