A circus monkey escaped into the woods in Springdale, Ohio, Monday after being frightened by a train whistle. The monkey is described as being two-feet-tall, has a white face with a brown body and was last seen wearing blue pants and a leash. He is particularly fond of Kentucy Fried Chicken.

A man who had been allowed to try a $17,000 artificial leg for a few hours never returned to the Des Moines, Iowa, store where he was fitted. Employees had worked with the man for a week to adjust the fit of the leg. Calls to the cell phone number left by the man went unanswered.

The rotting carcass of a dead dog that had been stuffed down a manhole was found to be the cause of a sewage backup in Provo, Utah. Officials tracked down the owner of the dog through a chip that had been implanted in the animal.
