An ice cream vendor was placed on probation and ordered to attend anger management classes over a May 2004 incident in which he attacked a 13-year-old boy who complained about the price of the ice cream. The boy testified that the man pulled him off his bike, punched him in the face and slammed him into a wall.

Nearly 500,000 people have visited Shanghai’s most-expensive toilet since last October. The toilet, which cost $602,000 to build, is disguised in a man-made cave surrounded by a tree and flower-lined path. A steady line of people waiting one to two hours to view the toilet give away its hiding spot.

A Boston woman has vowed to never eat out again after discovering the head of a mouse in meal at a Chinese restaurant. Health inspectors pulled a health permit for the restaurant after a surprise inspection uncovered evidence of rodent infestation, rodent droppings and unsanitary conditions.

The Centers for Disease Control warn that small pets like hamsters, mice and rats have sickened up to 30 people with dangerous multidrug-resistant bacteria. This is the first known outbreak of salmonella to come from such pets. Pet owners are advised to not kiss their animals and to wash their hands after contact.
