Two people are in critical conditional after attempting to create homemade Star Wars-style lightsabers out of flourescent tubes and gasoline. Police are not revealing exactly what happened but say a videotape was found nearby.

Thurl Ravenscroft, the voice of Tony the Tiger, died Sunday from prostate cancer at the age of 91. Ravenscroft’s distinct bass voice can be heard on many rides in Disneyland as well as in classic movies like “Dumbo” and “Lady and the Tramp”.

A bedridden 407-pound woman says she is suffering excruciating pain and was told by physicians to seek an MRI at the Bronx Zoo because they have a machine big enough for elephants and hippos. The Bronx Zoo states they do not have a machine large enough to accomodate those animals.

Henry Corden, the voice of Fred Flintstone died Thursday at the age of 85. Corden took over the character in 1977 when the original voice of Fred Flintstone, Alan Reed, passed away. Most recently Corden has been heard on television yelling “Barney, my Pebbles!”

The FAA proposed a rule change Thursday that would ban obtrusive advertising in space. Large billboards placed in low-earth orbit could appear as large as the moon and be seen without a telescope.

Four Vero Beach high school students received four day suspensions after releasing a full-grown bull inside their school. The bull was seen on surveillance tapes roaming the school’s halls.
