On the heels of some gruesome attacks on children, a Japanese company has introduced knife-resistant jackets and sweatshirts for kids. The clothing is made from the same material as military bullet-proof vests.

New dried food rations for the military are packed in a pouch with a special filter that removes the toxins from whatever liquid is used to rehydrate it, even swamp water or urine. The company that makes the product previously invented a sandwich that stays edible up to three years.

Drunk flight crew beats passenger

Two crew members on an Aeroflot flight beat up a passenger who complained that the flight attendants were drunk. The crew was so intoxicated that half the food they were serving passengers wound up dropped on the floor. The entire flight crew has been dismissed pending an investigation.

Police in Maryville, Tennessee, arrested a nude man covered with nacho cheese stolen from a pool snack bar Sunday. The suspect has been charged with burglary, theft, vandalism, public intoxication, and indecent exposure.

Boston says no to public toilets during Democratic Convention

Boston has decided to provide no public toilets after 5pm for 35,000 people in town for the Democratic National Convention. That’s the time the few public toilets that are available close. City leaders say the convention-goers can try their luck in bars and back at their hotel rooms.

Doctors attempt to remove woman’s gallbladder twice

A Nebraska woman claims doctors performed an operaton to remove her gallbladder two years after they had already removed it. The woman speaks Spanish, and alleges her doctors did not consult her medical records before performing the second operation.
