Pennsylvania State Police believe the death of a federal prosecutor last December from 36 stab wounds may have been a suicide or a random act of violence. The deceased had prosecuted drug dealers, bank robbers and child molesters.

Police in North Carolina arrested 96-year-old Julia Roberts for possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell and deliver the drug. 61-year-old Harold Roberts was also arrested.

Authorities in Papua New Gunea have ordered police to hunt down a dinosaur-like creature with the head of a dog and the body of a crocodile. Villagers report the creature has already devoured three dogs.

Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida announced in a press release Thursday that it had performed a heart operation on the wrong patient. Doctors learned immediately after the heart catheterization about the mixup.

Melbourne, Florida, firefighters accidentally burned their own station Thursday when they responded to a call without turning off a fryer in their kitchen. No one was injured in the blaze because all the firefighters had left.

An 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with second degree burns to his hands, chin and throat area after a jawbreaker candy exploded in the boy’s face. The child’s parents have retained an attorney.
