Three Deleware teenagers had to abort an attempted home invasion early Saturday when one of the would-be robbers accidentally shot himself in the groin. The 17-year-old shot himself as he pounded on the door with the butt of his handgun. Two of the teens have been arrested and the injured assailant will be arraigned when he is released from the hospital.

William Shatner and his former wife have reached a settlement in a dispute over horse semen from three American saddle-bred stallions owned by Star Trek’s former Captain Kirk. At dispute was whether the semen would be provided in a fresh format, preferred by his ex-wife or frozen as Shatner preferred.

Ozzy Osbourne’s pet chihuahua, Lulu, was eaten by coyotes recently and their other dog, Pipi, was only spared because Ozzy snatched it out of a coyote’s mouth. The pets were frequently featured on the television show “The Osbournes” which chronicles the Osbourne family.

A surgeon in Hawaii is being sued for allegedly implanting a screwdriver in a patient’s spine during an operation. The doctor implanted the screwdriver when he couldn’t find the titanium rod he needed.

British police charged two men with manslaughter Tuesday following the death of an Oxford University student who was hurled from a giant catapult. The 19-year-old student died last November after he failed to reach the landing net.
