A man fell to his death Monday morning after failing in an attempt to climb the Williams Tower, one of Houston’s tallest skyscrapers. The man was scaling the outside of the 901 foot tower without using any safety lines.
A hospital security guard has been accused of stealing a winning lottery ticket from a man who died from a heart attack on his way to cash the ticket. The Middletown, New York, man was charged Thursday with grand larceny, a felony.
A 16-year-old Illinois girl on her way to take her driver’s license test crashed into the licensing facility. Thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to the building but police say no charges were filed.
A woman was convicted Thursday of attacking her transsexual wife during a fight about a Shetland pony in their bathroom. The woman reportedly pulled her wife to the floor and repeatedly slammed her head against a fireplace. Sentencing is scheduled for January 9.
A nine-year-old girl died of head injuries after being kicked twice by a friend’s pony. Her pony and a pony belonging to a friend started fighting after the pair stopped for a snack outside a supermarket in Greater Manchester. The girl had dismounted to try to separate the animals when the she was killed.
A New Mexico man is accused of cutting up his pet cat, placing it on a barbecue grill, pouring barbecue sauce on it and eating some of it. He reportedly told police he killed the cat in his front yard because he wasn’t able to feed it and he was hungry.
Three men who were caught shoplifting over 2300 packets of Kool-Aid in Memphis, Tennessee, were sentenced to 60 days in jail Monday. The Kool-Aid was valued at nearly $600. Including other items the men stole such as onions, cups, and toilet paper the value of their haul reached $622.
