Illinois police shot and killed a Bengal tiger that escaped from its owner at a truck stop Saturday. A veterinarian unsuccessfully tried to tranquilize the tiger four times before police killed it because it become aggressive.
Two former employees are suing South Florida Blood Banks Inc., alleging it discriminates against black donors and employees. They claim they were told by SFBB supervisors not to solicit African-American or Haitian-American donors.
In addition, they claim the organization’s “Children’s World Blood Bank” is a fraud because the blood collected for use in poor countries is instead sold locally for up to $1,000 a pint.
A Warren, Michigan, man has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for indecent exposure after neighbors spotted him having sex with a pumpkin. The man was already jailed at the time of his sentencing on a charge of domestic violence.
A Charleswood, Canada, has been charged for indecent acts after he was twice videotaped sticking his penis through a hole in his neighbor’s fence and masturbating. The alleged fence-molestor is scheduled to appear in court October 29.
A 20-year-old man has been charged with breaking and entering and committing bestiality after he allegedly committed sexual acts with a horse in Edmonton, Canada. The horse that was victimized is used for riding lessons.
A female employee at Wendy’s restaurant in Ewing, New Jersey, tripped while changing trash bags and impaled her face on a metal rod Thursday afternoon. The rod penetrated the 29-year-old woman’s face by her mouth and nose.
She is reported to be in stable condition at the hospital as of last night.
Tanya Collins of New Port Richie, Florida, tried to force her 10-year-old son out of a tree by shooting him with a BB gun. The woman was charged with child abuse Wednesday. The incident left a mark on her son’s forearm.
Collins was released from jail Wednesday after posting $2,500 bail.
