A middle school teacher who showed his genitals to a 13-year-old girl nearly two decades ago will move to a nonteaching position after parents complained last week.
The math teacher will move to an office job next week but will remain on a teaching contract.
School district officials say they’ve had no previous complaints since he pleaded guilty of indecent exposure in September 1983.
Target Corporaton said Wednesday that it is recalling baseball caps and shorts printed with a code for “Heil Hitler.”
The caps and shorts are imprinted with “eight eight” and “88.” These symbols are known among white supremacists as stading for “Heil Hitler” because H is the eight letter of the alphabet.
A Michigan man who helped brand a neighbor’s genitals and buttocks with a hot metal spatula was sentenced to 19 months in prison. Randolph Evans, 38, attacked the man after learning he had been sodomizing young boys. Two other men were also found guilty in the branding. One was sentenced to a year in prison earlier this month while the other will be sentenced in September.
In June 2001, Evans’ victim was convicted of sexually assaulting the two boys, and is now serving an eight to 40-year prison sentence.
A 38-year-old animal-activist was mauled by a grizzly bear Sunday.
The victim is part of an activist group that protests the killing of bison from nearby Yellowstone National Park.
Actress Natasha Lyonne (Rat Girl, Fast Sofa, Dennis the Menace) pleaded guilty Monday to drunken driving. The charge stems from a Miami Beach crash last year.
Lyonne will have her driver’s license suspended for six months. She also was fined $729, sentenced to six months probation and 50 hours of community service, and her car will be impounded for 10 days.
On July 21, while riding in a bag on board a family pontoon boat in Wisconsin, Spicy the chihuahua fell overboard.
The owner, Nancy Reynolds, was hysterical. “All I could picture was this bloated dog.”
After falling out of the boat, the little dog swam three miles to to an island. Workers there found her with a broken leg and returned her to Nancy seven days later.
A Spanish priest baptizing a 3-year-old girl slapped the child in the face when she wouldn’t stop crying.
The priest asked the mother to quiet the girl but the noise from a firecracker outside upset her even more. As Father Enrique Abad of Santa Rosa parish anointed the child’s forehead with oil, he slapped her in the face with his other hand.
