Prison guard goes back to prison for crushing kittens

A former prison guard will get to view the lockup from the inside. Ronald Hunlock was sentenced to a year in jail Friday for crushing five kittens to death in a trash compactor.

48-year-old Hunlock was convicted of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Thief takes boy’s tooth fairy money

A burglar in Portage, Indiana, broke into a home and stole the money a 9-year-old boy had saved from the tooth fairy over several years. Local Crime Stoppers is offering a $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the criminal.

Golfer’s prosthetic arm stolen

Golfer Larry Alford, known as the One-Armed Bandit, has lost his left arm for a second time.

Someone stole his SUV along with the prosthetic arm Larry relies on for his golfing career. The arm cost around $10,000 and because it is custom-made, is of little use to anyone else.

Jennicia Chow Yen Ping of Singapore has been sentenced for repeatedly biting her young maid’s breasts until one nipple, excruciatingly, fell off. A judge has handed the 30-year-old a five year prison term for abusing the Indonesian maid.

Professor advocates freeing Mickey Mouse

Stanford law professor Lawrence Lessig spoke for 90 minutes at Austin Convention Center on the subject of preventing greedy corporations from abusing copyrights.

Lessig explained arge media companies have pushed Congress into extending copyrights 11 times in the last century. Works such as early Mickey Mouse cartoons, which should be in the public domain, have been held back. This deprives the public of their right to these works.

Students find fingertips in cartons of milk

A worker at milk processor Borden’s in LaFayette, Louisiana, had two fingertips cut off in an accident last week. This week two Louisiana elementary school students found the fingertips in their cartons of milk.
