ATM hands out double money

A bank worker in Auckland, New Zealand, accidentally filled the $10 slot of an ATM with $20 notes. Lucky customers received twice as much money from the machine as was debited from their account.

Man steals endangered monkey to buy crack

Robert Bradford Mills, 34, of Las Vegas pleaded guilty Monday to felony theft in a Shreveport, Louisiana, courtroom. Mills was convicted of stealing an endangered monkey which he intended to sell or exchange for crack cocaine. The man received a three-year sentence.

Fire-walking KFC managers get extra crispy

Around 30 KFC restaurant executives and managers were suffered burns resulting from a fire-walking exercise at a management development conference in Australia. The two day event was held at at the Horizons golf resort at Salamander Bay, Port Stephens, north of Newcastle.

Seven of the injured suffered serious burns which required treatment at Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital.

High school wrestling coach bites head off bird

High school wrestling coach Aron D. Bright has been suspended for two weeks after biting the head off a live sparrow in front of his team.

Bright astutely noted later, “Maybe I was not thinking clearly.”

Body part at carwash turns out to be cow teat

Police in Hastings, Nebraska, have finally identified the body part found at a carwash on February 12th. The part turns out to be a cow’s teat. It was originally thought to be a human penis and the discovery was treated as a homicide investigation.

Beauty pageant melee lands one in jail

Kathy Wallace, Georgetown College director of student activities, was charged Monday with assault stemming from her grabbing a student during a beauty pagaent rehearsal. Wallace apparently objected to the unladylike demonstration of rope-tricks by Keaton Lynch Brown, an 18-year-old freshman.

At issue is Brown’s talent exhibition which includes a lasso routine culminating in Brown roping a stuffed pig.
