An 18-year-old Bremerton, Washington, was arrested after telling police she may have accidentally deposited her bag of meth. A test of the deposit envelope tested positive for the drug. The woman was charged with possession of meth, a felony.

A patient at Mercy Medical Center in New York who was misdiagnosed with breast cancer died a day after a double mastectomy. Her lab results were switched with another woman’s which resulted in the unneeded surgery which killed her.

A teacher and four students have been charged with savagely beating a sophomore, breaking his jaw and knocking out teeth. The attack appears to be retribution for the victim’s harassment of a freshman.

A convicted rapist walked out of a Hebbronville, Texas, jail through an unlocked door and escaped Tuesday. Just they day before the man had been sentenced to five concurrent life terms for sexual assault, kidnapping and burglary in the rapes of a mother and daughter. A manhunt is underway for the man described as having “little to lose” and very dangerous.

A Turlock, California, police officer has been put on paid administrative leave for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old high school student who was the victim of a sexual assault by her 35-year-old teacher. The police officer was also one of the officers investigating her case in that incident.

A hospital in Australia is in hot water after putting a miscarried fetus into a bag containing the mother’s belongings. The 18-weeks pregnant woman was taken to the hospital with bleeding where she lost the baby. During recovery the woman reached into the bag of personal belongings given her by the hospital and discovered her miscarried baby.
