Congresswoman compares Osama bin Laden to America’s founders
Ohio Representative Marcy Kaptur (D, Toledo) has raised a storm of critism for remarks comparing Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda to America’s founding fathers. Among her comments printed in the Toledo Blade Saturday was “One could say that Osama bin Laden and these nonnation-state fighters with religious purpose are very similar to those kind of atypical revolutionaries that helped to cast off the British crown.”
Representative Kaptur claims her comments are now being taken out of context.
