Former Iraqi hostages warn Saddam’s volunteer shields
Americans held hostage in Iraq before the Gulf War are warning pro-Saddam activists in Baghdad that they should get out. One former hostage who was used as a human shield called the activists “incredibly naive.” The wife of another man who was forced to be a human shield labeled the activists as “traitors.”
