Bicycle pumps used to sterilise Indian women
India’s human rights panel is angered over reports that Uttar Pradesh, the country’s most populous state, was using bicycle pumps to sterilise women seeking birth control. In addition, the panel notes that the same syringe is getting used for over 50 patients.
