Surgeon ordered to operate using dessert spoon
A medical tribunal in Britain has learned an orthopaedic surgeon was asked to use a dessert spoon instead of a proper surgical instrument during hip replacement operations. Derriford Hospital in Plymouth is also accused of providing substandard care in order to keep the waiting list for patients down.
