French plan to move 200-year-old corpse creates controversy
The 200th anniversary of the birth of Hector Berlioz, France’s greatest composer, is awash with controversy over a plan to move his corpse to Paris. Others note that he was an ardent reactionary, far outside of the mainstream who would be uncomfortable in his new setting alongside the corpses of Voltaire and Victor Hugo.
