Urine may have fatally damaged shuttle’s left wing
Investigators are searching for evidence that a block of frozen urine and water big enough to damage Columbia’s wing may have formed on the side of the space shuttle. A waste water block of ice developed on a previous mission, and controllers so concerned they had the crew knock it off with the robot arm.
