US company develops lightweight radiation-proof fabric
A US company has developed a lightweight radiation-proof fabric called Demron, which provides as much protection as a lead vest. Current protective clothing only protects against alpha radiation but the new fabric, developed by Florida-based Radiation Shield Technologies, offers protection against alpha, beta, and gamma radiation.
