New York wildlife official gives how-to advice on drowning cats
A New York state wildlife official who advised a person over the phone on the most effective methods of drowning stray cats did not realize the conversation was being taped by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The biologist suggested holding the furry animals’ heads under water for several minutes. PETA is using the recording in a campaign to encourage people to deal humanely with nuisance animals.
