DJ at Atlanta country music station fired for Southern accent
James Carney, known to radio listeners as “Moby,” was fired in August because of his Southern accent after 11 years as morning DJ for an Atlanta, Georgia, country music station. During his employment, Carney was the recipient of numerous company memos asking him to take diction and grammer lessons.
