Taiwanese lawmaker calls other lawmaker a ‘whore’
A motion to force Taiwan lawmaker Lin Chung mo to face the Legislature’s Discipline Committee was blocked by three lawmakers following Lin’s calling another lawmaker names including “whore”.
Another member of the DPP, Chou Po-lun, supports punishing Lin, but accused Chen of having affairs with two former DPP chairmen.
“Lin should be punished in line with the conduct codes to prevent colleagues from repeating his mistake and insulting others on the floor,” People First Party (PFP) lawmaker Chin Huei-chu said. “His offensive remarks about Chen have enraged the public and sullied the legislature’s image.”
“[Lin Chung Mo’s] diatribe against Sisy Chen was loaded with vulgar language, including the words `whore,’ `shrew’ and `slut,’” Chin Huei-chu said. “I suggest turning him over to the Discipline Committee for punishment.”
Chou Po-lun said Lin Chung Mo deserved condemnation as he “missed the point” when faulting Sisy Chen. “What makes her so formidable is her prowess at seducing married men.”
