Palm Beach blood bank accused of racism
Two former employees are suing South Florida Blood Banks Inc., alleging it discriminates against black donors and employees. They claim they were told by SFBB supervisors not to solicit African-American or Haitian-American donors.
In addition, they claim the organization’s “Children’s World Blood Bank” is a fraud because the blood collected for use in poor countries is instead sold locally for up to $1,000 a pint.
