US forces airdrop cake over Afghanistan
US troops are dropping 46,000 pounds of cake over Afganistan. A traditional way to mark the end of Ramdan is with the exchange of sweets, especially cakes. “It’s the end of Ramadan, and we thought that after all the Afghan people have suffered, this could be one way to show our respect,” said US military spokesman Sergeant Major Raymond Cordell.
