Santa’s reindeer busted for shrooms
Dr Ian Edwards, head of education at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh thinks he might know what makes Santa fly: hallucination-inducing mushrooms. He theorizes that Laplanders used to feed their reindeer magic mushrooms, getting the reindeer high. Then they would drink the animal’s urine and experience their own high, similar to LSD. Soon thereafter everyone thought they and the reindeer were crusing over the village.
