Man caught with stolen diamond necklace in his rectum
Mark Kennedy, 38, of Fort Myers, Florida, was charged Wednesday with stealing a gold and diamond necklace and two loose diamonds from a Boca Raton jewelry store. The items were worth an estimated $115,000.
Police initially questioned Kennedy as a suspect in the jewelry theft and arrested him for marijuana possession. Kennedy became ill in custody and was taken for a stomach X-ray which revealed the stolen diamonds were in his stomach and the necklace was in his rectum.
The suspect voluntarily retreived the necklace for police. One diamond has been recovered from the suspect’s stools and police are waiting for the other one.
