Two teens injured after pounding on pipebomb with hammer
Two Suquamish, Washington, teens were injured while building a home-made pipebomb. One 18 year-old male was bleeding severely, lost at least one finger, had burns to his face, and had deep lacerations to his left arm and wrist, chest, abdomen and thigh. Another teen suffered lacerations to his chest and legs.
Reportedly, the pair were stuffing fireworks into a copper pipe in an effort to make an explosive device. The blast was triggered when one of them attempted to crimp the end of the pipebomb by pounding on it with a hammer.
