Tate Gallery pays top dollar for canned poop
The Tate Gallery in Great Britain has paid $36,000 (US) for a can of feces. The price exceeds what would have been paid had the object been made of 24 carat gold.
The artist, Piero Manzoni, died within two years of creating his poop-in-a-can series in the early 1960’s.
Both the Pompidou Museum in Paris and the Museum of Modern Art in New York are also lucky enough to have cans of the poop.
