Calvin Klein calls Joan and Melissa Rivers the C word
Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa stopped by a table of celebrities at a dinner for the AIDS charity AmFAR during the Cannes Film Festival. Seated were Elton John and his boyfriend David Furnish, Bianca Jagger, Elizabeth Taylor and Calvin Klein. Klein decided to vent an old grudge he had over remarks the senior comedienne had made some years earlier. “You’re a c**t,” he told her. “You’re nothing but an old c**t, you c**t!”
Joan didn’t pick up on the remark but Melissa explained it to her. “Excuse me, but Melissa said you just called me a c**t,” she said to the disrespectful designer. “I sure did,” replied Calvin, “and your daughter’s an even uglier c**t!”
The three patched things up later and were seen talking to one another.
