Cow gets kidney transplant
Advanced Cell Technology (ACT) scientists, have successfully implanted cloned kidneys in a cow. The kidneys were grown with cells from the same cow. After three months of use there was no sign of the kidneys being damaged by the cow’s immune system. This would indicate that cloned organs do not suffer from tissue-rejection which is always a concern with organs from a different donor.
