Queen Mother gets odd farewell messages
The Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa, let visitors sign condolence books for the Queen Mum. Unfortunately, many of the comments are bizarre or inappropriate.
Some visitors must have thought they were commenting on the museum like one writer who left “I like the glow worms.” Sarah, of London writes “Excellent! One of the best museums I’ve ever visited”.
A raggae exhibition moved one person: “Rastafari 4eva”.
Other visitors understood what they were commenting on such as the person who wrote “You were the bomb and I miss you”. Another admirer penned “In your younger days you were a hotty. Nothing’s changed. Andrew”. “May the force be with you dear,” wrote one visitor.
The classy JMB of England wrote: “Why all the fuss? She was an old lady who’d spent a very privileged life.”
