World Cup fans won’t get free dog meat samples
A group of South Korean dog meat restaurant owners said Friday it has cancelled plans to treat World Cup tourists with free samples. 150 restaurant owners said in April they would set up stalls near the stadiums to serve free samples of steamed meat, as well as soup, sandwiches and hamburgers made of dog meat during the May 31-June 30 tournament.
Since they announced their plans the government of Korea has put pressure on the group to cancel their aggressive canine cuisine tactics.
