Professor advocates freeing Mickey Mouse
Stanford law professor Lawrence Lessig spoke for 90 minutes at Austin Convention Center on the subject of preventing greedy corporations from abusing copyrights.
Lessig explained arge media companies have pushed Congress into extending copyrights 11 times in the last century. Works such as early Mickey Mouse cartoons, which should be in the public domain, have been held back. This deprives the public of their right to these works.
