Senator wants to ban bird poop in cattle feed
U.S. Senator Tom Harkin told regulators Tuesday that bird poop should be banned from cattle feed because it may spread mad cow disease. Harkin is concerned that feeding cow parts to poultry and poultry feces to cows might raise the chance of spreading the disease. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is planning on publishing new rules allowing the bird poop meals for cattle to continue. source
