Man camping in train tunnel struck and killed by train

A world-famous whitewater paddler was struck by a train while camping in a North Carolina train tunnel Tuesday. The man was airlifted to the hospital but died on Wednesday. The tunnel has nine feet of shoulder room next to the tracks. source
