Scientists create gasoline and vanilla from cow poop
A group of researchers in energy-poor Japan has succesfully created gasoline from cow manure. The process involved metal catalysts, high heat, and poop. Another group of researchers discovered a way to create vanillin, an aromatic compound of vanilla, from cow manure. The vanillin can be used as a scent in shampoos and candles.
