Infant masturbation often misdiagnosed
Masturbation by infant girls sometimes leads is often mistaken by parents as a movement disorder, according to a recent study. The study reviewed cases of young girls who were referred to pediatric movement disorder clinics for evaluation of episodic dystonic posturing, characterized by involuntary muscle contractions that force the body into abnormal movements and positions.
