Man faces possible life sentence for maple syrup theft
A Vermont man faces a possible sentence of life in prison as a habitual offender after being convicted of stealing maple syrup. In additon to possession of stolen property, the man was found guilty of felony possession of marijuana, in connection with pot found at his home during a search by sheriff’s deputies. The charges normally could bring up to 13 years in prison.
