Researcher reveals traffic jams caused by too many cars
Around 80 percent of traffic jams occur because there are too many people on the same part of the road at the same time, according to a professor of traffic physics at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany. A traffic modeller at Dresden’s Technical University recommends that drivers reduce the severity of traffic jams on the autobahn by getting off the crammed highway and driving on other streets.
