Sunshine might stop skin cancer
Two new studies suggest sunlight might stop certain cancers from growing, including skin cancers. One study found sunlight helped stop deadly skin cancers known as malignant melanomas. The other found the sun helped with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The benefit of sunlight in stopping these cancers may lie in the vitamin D made by sun-exposed skin, according to the Journal of the National Cancer Institute.
