New law allows sale of horse meat
The recently passed spending bill is also opening the door for Americans to sell wild horses and burros for meat. Among its provisions is one letting people sell wild horses that could be used as meat in other countries. The law applies to horses more than 10 years old, or younger horses which have been passed over for adoption three times.
