Hawaii distributes DVD warning of tsunami surfing dangers
The state of Hawaii will distribute an 18-minute DVD explaining the dangers of trying to surf a tsunami. The DVD distribution to 100 surf shops statewide is part of Disaster Preparedness Month. In 1994 over 400 surfers flocked to the waters when a tsunami threatened to strike Oahu.
