Rape trial derailed by goof-off jurors
A rape trial in the United Kingdom has collapsed after some of the jurors watched a darts match on television instead of considering a verdict. The judge has ordered a re-trial. The jury foreman confirmed that some members of the jury had watched the Embassy World Darts Championship. The wasted trial is estimated to have cost UK taxpayers $94,000.
