Defecating Nativity figures are a tradition
Placing figures of defecating people in Nativity scenes is a Christmastime tradition that dates back to the 18th century. Popular in the Catalonia region, it is actually played like a game. After placing the defecating figure in the Nativity scene, friends are called over to see if they can spot it.
Some of the figures were displayed in California recently depicting the Pope, nuns and angels pooping and many people were shocked and dismayed.
