Twice-fired cop kills unarmed man
A Hialeah, Florida police officer fatally shot an unarmed suspect in the back and side last Tuesday. The officer had been fired twice previously by the police department but was reinstated by arbitrators.
The officer was first fired in 1994 after shooting himself and claiming he was attacked. He was reinstated in 1996. He was fired again in 1998 for not answering police calls. He was returned to duty in 1999.
