Lion attacks and kills lioness
A male lion at Boston’s Franklin Park Zoo mauled a female lion to death on November 16th. The two were put together to see if they could be kept in the same area.
The company that runs the zoo, Zoo New England, kept the information secret to avoid embarassment while it was fighting budget cuts from the state Legislature.
