Emu barbecue halted at Sonoma County Animal Shelter
An emu at the Sonoma County Animal Shelter was adopted by a staff member who shot it and was preparing to cook and serve the bird at a staff barbecue. The director of the facility stopped the bird from being barbecued at the shelter but the bird was laster cooked and eaten at a staff member’s home.
