Charles Bronson, Florida’s agriculture commissioner, received permission from the Capitol police to carry his guns in the Capitol to protect himself. Capitol police said that Bronson is a sworn officer of the law - he heads an agency with a 250-man agricultural law enforcement division - and can therefore carry a gun anywhere he wants, including state Cabinet meetings.
